His Name Will Be

Did you know that in the Bible that most everyone received their name for a particular reason?  Obviously, each of us has a name.  But do you know what your name means?  During the first century, at the time of Christ’s birth, Mary was told that she was going to have a baby and that the name of the baby should receive the name, Jesus.  What’s interesting about his name is that the name of Jesus was a common name among Jewish boys.   In fact, archeologists have uncovered over 70 tombs with the name “Jesus” or “Yeshua” (Joshua) that date back to the first century.  What makes the name of Jesus standout apart from the rest is what Jesus actually called “himself.”  He was no ordinary Jesus or Yeshua.
